Oh Hank Maria
Oh Hank Marie
Oh Hank Maria Oh you married me
Married me tonight
My pickup broke in Colfax My pickup got a flat
I guess it must've been destiny
that this, would come outta that
Met her in a smoky bar
where I tried to get a tow
she had a pretty little waitress get up on,
with a pretty little bow
she was working late that night
pouring drinks for the boys at the bar
then she was nice to me and helped me fix my flat tar (tire)
Took me to her parents house
took me to meet her old man
he just took one look at me and said, son grab some beers outta the frig and hang with me if you can
Postman started the rumor
told all the ladies in town
Maria had a new man, some tall freaky looking clown
Then I fell in love with her
she took my heart and my soul
I promised her forever underneath the Codger Pole
Pretty soon my pickup truck was fixed
I was back on the road
but my little heart was empty, carrying a heavy load
I needed my Maria
needed her by my side
so I swore I was gonna marry her and take her back to my double wide
So I did me a U-turn
in the parking lot of the Wheat N Barley
I ran back to Hank Marie, & said honey yer pretty gnarley
I was yelling I love you baby
I love you forever more
I was screamin' so loud and crazy, I broke down her front door
She came out in her overalls
gave me a big fat hug
and offered me a root beer in an icy frosty mug
So, there we sat on her porch
mappin' out our life
I'm gonna be her man, she's gonna be my wife
So, there you have it, that's the truth
tonight we're startin' our life
I'm gonna be her man, she's gonna be my wife
