Left and right, guards surround,
Royal troops all around,
At the signal, they charge in,
Closing in on the rabbit, they begin.
Like the Great Wall in its might,
Layered thick, they hold tight,
Catch the rabbit, grip its ears,
Like catching thieves, no fear.
If it were a dog, even better, they say,
In the heat of summer, catch it today,
Make a stew, so strong and hearty,
From its liver, a healthful party.
Strip its skin, lay it down,
For ailments, it's renowned.
Oh, the cure for every pain,
Miraculous remedy again.
If it were a cow, oh, how grand,
Divide the meat with careful hand,
Make shoes, make drums, use it all,
Nothing wasted, big or small.
Manure for the fields, so rich,
Everything’s got a niche.
This is the way of our realm,
Resourceful, we overwhelm.
If it were a horse, even more prized,
A steed so swift, we’d be surprised.
Sell its bones for gold,
Alive, it’s worth untold.
Bring it to the king, such a gift,
Rewards come swift.
Capture the rabbit, here it is,
Presented with a twist.
Left and right, guards surround,
Royal troops all around,
At the signal, they charge in,
Closing in on the rabbit, they begin.
Like the Great Wall in its might,
Layered thick, they hold tight,
Catch the rabbit, grip its ears,
Like catching thieves, no fear.
