Somebody asked me, "What’s your dream now?"
I just smiled and stayed silent instead.
On my way back home, lost deep in my thoughts,
I asked my heart, "Is there still something there?"
Is there really nothing I want to become?
Am I just going wherever life takes me?
Am I only following the paths of others,
Watching them from behind, not knowing my own?
It’s been too long since I’ve been like this.
What on earth am I doing with my life?
I’ve lost both my dream and my spirit,
Wearing clothes that don’t fit me anymore.
I felt ashamed, and then I got angry,
Is this all I’ve become, is this who I am?
What thoughts are still living inside of me?
I want to know, but I just can’t it’s suffocating.
I thought I wasn’t unhappy, not at all,
But one word made everything crumble down.
I just wanted to look good, seem perfect,
Too foolish to even let myself complain.
There was a time when I burned bright, too,
Just remembering it makes my heart race.
But I made a deal with the world’s temptations,
And threw away what mattered most to me.
I felt ashamed, and then I got angry,
Is this all I’ve become, is this who I am?
What thoughts are still living inside of me?
I want to know, but I just can’t? it’s suffocating.
Maybe it’s time for me to stop right here,
No more fake smiles, just honesty instead.
This choice might make my life even harder,
But I’ll take tomorrow, even if it’s tougher.
I felt ashamed, and then I got angry,
Is this all I’ve become, is this who I am?
What thoughts are still living inside of me?
I want to know, but I just can’t? it’s suffocating.
Before it’s too late, I’ll find my own way,
Turn myself around from where I’ve been lost.
Even if this choice brings me to my knees,
I hope I won’t regret it in the end.
Before it’s too late.
