Where does the wind come from,
And where does it go?
The wind keeps blowing,
But my sorrow has no reason to show.
Is there truly no reason for my pain?
I’ve never loved a woman,
Nor wept for the age's strain.
Yet the wind keeps blowing,
And my feet stand firm on the rock.
The wind blows without a sound,
But my heart feels so tightly bound.
No woman ever touched my heart,
No sorrow for the world played its part.
Still, the wind pushes against my soul,
But I remain steady, my spirit whole.
Is there truly no reason for my pain?
I’ve never loved a woman,
Nor wept for the age's strain.
Yet the wind keeps blowing,
And my feet stand firm on the rock.
The river flows, unceasing, deep,
Yet on this hill, my feet I keep.
The world moves fast, the waters churn,
But for what, my heart does yearn?
The wind blows hard, but I stay still,
Standing alone on this silent hill.
The wind and water speak their way,
But my heart remains in disarray.
No love, no grief to anchor me,
Yet something stirs, I cannot see.
So let the wind blow, let the river run,
I stand alone, beneath the sun.
Though the reasons stay unknown,
In this world, I stand on my own.
Is there truly no reason for my pain?
I’ve never loved a woman,
Nor wept for the age's strain.
Yet the wind keeps blowing,
And my feet stand firm on the rock.
