If someone said,
“I love you,”
would you think it true
that “someone”
is the one who’s standing
next to you?
Someone there
without a sound.
Just like a shadow
on the ground.
Is scared you’ll
hear his heart break
as smiles at you.
How can he
bear to see you again
without letting
you know the truth,
but then
These feelings
trapped inside him
They foolishly
still hide him
from the fact that
he will never know
if love’s a lie.
To share your air,
to feel your
beating heart
Is the reason
he breathes.
Why he needs
a new start.
He’ll stand by you
forever and loves you…
But you’ll never
know the cry
beneath his smile.
For far too long
someone has held
it all inside
While playing the
part of friend and
all that it implies.
But the things
he needs to say
Are more than
a friend would
dare convey
But feelings
unexpressed
leave pain that
won’t subside.
Someone wants
to surrender to you.
In hopes that you will say,
“I love you, too.”
But more than
words a notion
you share in
his emotion.
If you held him
in your arms the answer
would be known.
To be the one you
run to in the night
when you’re
feeling afraid.
When you
turn out the light.
He’ll scream it to
the world or whisper
right beside you,
“You’ll never be alone.”
Don’t you know
how desperately
I love you so?
If you do, then
how can you just
let it go?
Anybody but a fool
wouldn’t know.
How can I bear to
see you again
without letting
you know the truth,
but then
These feelings
trapped inside me
They foolishly
still hide me
from the fact that
I will never know
if love’s a lie.
To share your air,
to feel your
beating heart
Is the reason I breathe.
Why I need a new start!
I'll stand
with you forever.
I love you but you’ll
never know the cry
beneath my smile.
